ShakeUp delivers style conscious music and sound design for television, film, events and interactive applications. We add value by hitting the exact tone and acoustic mood to compliment and stage any client projects with magnificent sound. Any result is a crafted, tailor fitted, signature piece of music and sound design. Our selected projects include works for brands like Deutsche Telekom, Mercedes Benz, SAP, MINI, Lufthansa, Pfadfinderei. Founded in 1997 ShakeUp started as a record label and a weekly Drum & Bass radioshow on Evosonic Radio in Cologne. Since 2005 the emphasis of their music and sound output changed towards to commissioned works for agencies, brands and artistic projects. In 2009 the ShakeUp studio moved to Berlin to extend the creative network. Since it’s early innings ShakeUp has grown to an eclectic sound forge with a variety of musical styles in a wide range of audiovisual projects. Volker Pannes is a versatile composer and producer specialising in bespoke conceptual sound design. He applies creative excellence, technical precision and artistic sensitivity to fit around the demands of your project briefing. With his long background in audio engineering he is also working as a producer and songwriter for bands and solo artists. As a recording artist and producer Volker was the co-founder of pioneering D&B record label ShakeUp in 1997 and published his Music on various Labels ever since. He holds a degree for ‚Interdisciplinary Design‘ from Cologne’s International School of Design KISD, in which he focused on Audio Branding and Corporate Sound.
